Regular Season Round 19: Vardar - Kriva Palanka 63-84

An interesting game forKriva Palanka (16-3) which played road game in Skopje against 3rd placed Vardar (13-6). First ranked Kriva Palanka had an easy win 84-63 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Vardar. Kriva Palanka dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Vardar 's 38. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Dyani Robinson (170-2001, college: N.Texas) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Her fellow American import Abby Niehues (186-1999, college: S.Nazarene, agency: DC Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners. Kriva Palanka's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international forward Milica Nikolic (188-2006) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and the former international Elena Tasevska (186-2002) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Vardar. Four Vardar players scored in double figures. Kriva Palanka have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-3 record. Vardar at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. They share it with Badel.
